This mom and pop dairy bar has been operating here for over 35 years, so they are doing somethings right. This is a fast food setup, you order at the counter, pay, get your ticket, wait for the call. There is a separate dining area with 12 to 15 plastic booths, functional but not comfortable. The hot dog is very ineresting, at least to me. The bun is toasted in a sandwich press, which not only toasts the bun, but also compresses it. The chili is a flavorful, rather dry item, and the wiener is decent. The combination of the compressed, toasted bun, and the dry chili reminds me of the hot dogs served years and years ago at Wolf's Soda Shop on Spring Garden Street, below Lindley Junior High School - in other words, this is a pretty good chilii dog. The burger is thin, greasey, and doesn't have a lot of flavor, I'd pass. They have both dipped and soft-served ice cream, and the soft can be dipped. Quite a few folks ordered ice cream while I was there. This place is way out Reynolda, and not necessarily a destination spot, but if you happen out that way, there are some items you might like here.

this has literally got to be the sorriest business owners I;ve ever seen....1st off they never have more than 3 cars in the parking lot so when I have tried to call in an order they will NEVER answer the phone.....I haven't tried in a couple of months and the only reason why I tried tonight is because there is not another hot dog joint around....after letting the phone ring for 16 times they finally answered and I asked about something on the menu..i told him i'd be calling right back..well of course no answer...so I my son decides to just ride up there to place order...CLOSED AT 7:30 ON A FRIDAY NIGHT....I;m sure when I spoke to someone earlier he knew he was gonna close OWNER MUST BE VERY RICH CAUSE HE SURE DOESNT NEED ANY BUSINESS!!!

Allen`s Dairy Treats is Fantastic!!! Our entire family LOVES it!!! Their Foot Long Hot Dogs are EXCELLENT. They even taste better than the Foot Longs that are in Myrtle Beach, SC. Allen`s toasts the buns like MB, but the ones at Allen`s are even BETTER!! Also, Allen`s has many, many flavors of Homemade Ice Cream!!! They even have SOFT-SERVE Ice Cream that one may have dipped in either Chocolate, Cherry or Butterscotch!! Very groovy place!!

I got a fried chicken patty sandwich. With the meal I got a side of fries, a Pepsi, and a hot fudge Sunday all for $5.99. It was a great deal and the food was very good. Probably one of the better chicken sandwiches I've had. The place is pretty simple inside but cozy. The staff was also quick and friendly.
